Suicide Awareness

Johnnie on the Spot,” our beloved ladybug mascot, brings warmth and hope with her vibrant red and black colors, friendly eyes, and wise, comforting smile. She represents not only our commitment to pest control but also our dedication to raising awareness about mental health. Inspired by the memory of our grandfather, we are on a mission to bring joy, healing, and support to those facing difficult times. We hope Johnnie on the Spot will become a cherished symbol in our community, reminding everyone that there is always help, hope, and a path to healing.

Our family—Crystal, Tiffany, and Trey—along with Johnnie on the Spot, will travel to neighboring communities, encouraging others to join us in the journey toward mental health awareness and suicide prevention. Through our work, the memory of our beloved “Pawpaw” will transform from sorrow into a beacon of hope, shining light into the darkness of mental health struggles. Together, the McWilliams family and our mascot will honor our grandfather’s legacy by turning our personal tragedy into a powerful force for good, spreading a message of compassion, support, and resilience in our community and beyond.

If you or someone you know is struggling, please remember you’re not alone, and help is available. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline offers free, confidential support 24/7 at 1-800-273-TALK (8255), providing a listening ear, resources, and guidance whenever you need it. You can also text ‘HELLO’ to 741741 to connect with a Crisis Text Line counselor for immediate support during times of emotional distress. For more ongoing resources, organizations like the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) offer educational materials, support groups, and local service connections. Additionally, websites like Mental Health America (MHA) and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) provide extensive guides, coping strategies, and helpful information for finding support. Remember, reaching out is a sign of strength, and there are people who care and want to help.”
